For starters, here's the "salvo" of bug reports:

Handweapons:

-> The temperature gauge and depleting ammo animation HUD of Lewis automatic machine gun does not work (e.g. Tobruk).


Maps:

-> 4111-Operation Crusader (Conquest/Coop)
   Macchi MC.202 Folgore's minimap icon turn to be a square one instead of fighter aircraft icon.
   It only appear on this map, while some maps where Folgore was visible like 4309-Aces over Italy seems fine though.

FIXED

-> Kursk (Conquest/Coop)
   Krupp Protze and SdKfz. 222 were using Dunkelgrau paint scheme although the former's mounted 2 cm Flak 38 was adapting the 02/1943 camo.


Vehicles:

-> Missing propeller spinner while in flight on Mitsubishi J2M Raiden (e.g. 4501-Operation Matador).
FIXED

-> Missing suspension mesh on Bishop (e.g. Gazala).
NOT A BUG, THE MODEL DOESN'T HAVE SUSPENSION ON THE MESH :(

-> There's no hit splash effect while firing the secondary round (37mm) as well as missing muzzle flash on Bordkanone 3,7 cannon, rapid-fire effect instead of semi-auto, and the HUD icon stuck on 72-round on Bf 110 G-2/R4 (e.g. 4504-Operation Herring and 4504-Volkssturm).

Please, ALWAYS include exact information about the circumstances the crash appears ! Do you mean Coral Sea crashes while playing on our server, in a LAN or just while testing alone ? I just started Coral Sea using the debugger, and i haven't had a crash yet.

Also include specific information, if the crash happened while using a certain weapon, vehicle etc.

   While manning the Hotchkiss M1914 machine gun, you cannot see the players/bots due to obstruction of bunker's upper wall in gunner's view at Hill (F4) unless the player needs to tilt the stationary gun upwards in order to see what's happening outside.

-> 4307-Operation Citadel (Conquest/Coop)
   When one side captured at least 3 control points (out of 6), the other side's ticket started to bleed and vice versa. It should at least 4 CP in order to bleed the other team's tickets.

-> 4503-Tokyo air raid (Objective)
   Some parts of soldier skins on each class are not showing properly in 3rd person view (just black color). Here's the list on both side/s:

The following maps have no winter loadingscreen: "Tridentina Avanti", "Voronezh" and "Donets Defense".

The desert loadingscreen is missing on the following maps: "Tug Argan", "Koufra Raid", "Raid on El Agheila",  "Battle of Keren", "Operation Crusader", "Bir Hakeim", "Safi Port", "Cat and Mouse", "Desert Pursuit, "Tebourba Breakthroug" & "Tigers at Tebourba" and "Final of Bizerte".

- The towed 17pdr AT Gun is floating

- If you enter the 17pdr AT Gun you hear permanently some kind of noise and you also see a small dust cloud at the ground coming up all the time
NOT A BUG - IT'S CAUSED BY THE COLLISON MESH HITTING THE GROUND - SEE NOTE BELOW


- If you enter the towed M5 AT Gun, nevertheless if you try to move or spread the gun carriage first, the Gun will be shaking up and down permanently. The towed M5's are completely unuseable right now.

- The 7.7mm machineguns are not displayed at the ammunition icon of the Boomerang Mk. III

- The M3 GMC has a big handicap, the Gun cannot be more lowered as shown in the picture. As you can see this limited the tactical value significant because no target can be fought in closer range. Is there anything what can be done here?

- The Owen MP is too oversized. It should be scaled-down to an realistic proportion.

CAN'T BE SCALED DOWN BECAUSE OF ANIMATIONS ISSUES  :(

If you're referring in Create Game menu and then clicking Start Local, then it works for me, both Conquest and Coop.

Looks like IMO you have a corrupted installation on your sleeve, you might want to check this first http://battlegroup42.de/Downloads-BattleGroup-forty-two-Final-RC-three-file-hashes-view-33.html (http://battlegroup42.de/Downloads-BattleGroup-forty-two-Final-RC-three-file-hashes-view-33.html). And if it doesn't match at least one of them, then you'll have to redownload the specific file and do the re-installation of RC3 again.

note on traverse/elevation values: All vehicles have their exact historical values, this includes the M3 GMC. Those values will not be changed, so please don't post any remarks about them. As for the ammo icons and loaders: I don't consider things like that as a bug to be mentioned. Please concentrate on actual bugs like map crashes, missing meshes, missing textures, missing/wrong sounds, missing/wrong icons, wrongly placed statics and vehicles and the like. Priority number one is to fix BUGS. Typos in loaders are also not considered as bugs. Things like that add nothing to the stability of the mod, and only make this topic unnecessary large. I also don't have the time to correct dozens of loading screens by myself. Please guys, stay on reporting bugs.

note on towable guns: They've always been a pain in the ass, and i'm thinking of recoding them completely. As of now, some of those guns will float.

Ok I see but is there any chance that one of  these "inaccuracies", not the loadingscreens but the icons for example, will be fixed one day? I mean as far as I know BG 1.8 will be the last version in development and therefore it should be most faultless of all.


- It's impossible to get on the top of the bunker at sector D1 on Velikye Luki to reach the machinegun there

-> 4308-Azov clashes (Conquest)
   When trying to move either one of the vehicles deployed on MAL transporter (StuG III Ausf. B or Sd.Kfz. 251), the vehicle will just jump out of the landing craft and the latter had started to sink.

->CMIIW but I notice the reworked P-40 Tomahawk IIB's gunsight reticle in cockpit view was offset at the crosshair (Left), while comparing the previous model on right image (from 1.8 open beta, and IIRC it still the same until RC2).

-> Incorrect exit spawn at the 2nd position of both Wickes-class Destroyer and APD transport. The player exited at the top (Wickes) and front (APD) of aft funnel instead at the left or right side of twin 40mm Bofors AA gun or 4"/50 caliber gun, also the latter cannot be enter on that station unless the player had to go somewhere (e.g. 4210-Wolfpack and 4506-Oboe six).

- The overheating display from Browning .50 / .30 on the top of following vehicles doesn't work: Sherman M4A1, Sherman M4A2, Sherman M4A3(76)W, Sherman M4A3E8, Sherman M4A3E2 Jumbo, Sherman M4A3 105mm, M3 Scout Car, M8 Greyhound, Sherman Firefly, Sherman II, Sherman V

THE WHITE MARKINGS ARE HISTORICALLY ACCURATE FOR BEF TANKS :)

- The 17pdr at the British base on Ortona should be removed as it's useles at this position because of the elevation angle is not high enough

Yes. The coop map isn´t ready and made it accidentally into the build. Sorry!

Btw. I don´t forgot our "Drvar"-Projekt - due to the complexity of the map it takes a while to get it ready. I will finish it for the final build.

Unfortunatly, this can´t be fixed without completly unwrapping and texturing the model again. The effect occures because the same part of the texture is used for both sides of the model, resulting in mirrored graphics. While this doesn´t matter camouflage, it became visible with letters.

- The overheating display of Oerlikon AA from Flower class doesn't work as well as the 20mm AA from Typ VIIC submarine
- The overheating display of Oerlikon AA from Fletcher class works per se but it can be only seen shortly as the display is "overheated" all the time never mind if you shoot or not

OVERHEATING REMOVED FROM OERLIKON (OTHER FLAKS DON'T HAVE IT EITHER)

- The ropes on the ship's side of Fletcher class, Freighter and Auxiliary cruiser are too short so you can't climb up on board  if you are in the water

- The Flak 38 of Auxiliary cruiser has a desert skin

- The tail MG of the Fairey Swordfish has no crosshair

- The Pak 40 at the German base on Paderborn is a little bit floating over the ground

- The Browning M1917 at the wooden platform on Brecour Manor is a little bit displaced as the tripod juts a little bit too much over the edge. Also if the stationary MG42 AA is destroyed it will be not replaced by the Browning M2 .50 Counterpart but by M1917 which is useless because of the high of the sandbag wall

- Something is wrong with the japanese airplanes at the carrier on Yamashitas Treasure because if you look at them they are heavy vibrating all the time and if you try to start them they shortly bounce up and then explode

- I'm not sure if it is intended but the King George V. has only one quadruplet Bofors AA on each side. For a battleship it seems much too less
NOT A BUG - INTENDED, AND WE DON'T HAVE THE PROPER AA GUNS ANYWAY


- At sector B7 on Uelzen you can find a camouflage net sunken directly in the ground without any usefulness

- Inside the drivers view of the Kht-130 flame tank you can see the muzzle flash of the coaxial MG if you fire it

   Three carrier-based aircraft in USS Essex had wrong texture, notably the USN aircraft roundel which doesn't match when the year and month the battle was held:

-> Out of 4 bombs of Mitsubishi G4M2a Betty, half of them able to make a free-fall, while the rest were just exploding inside the aircraft thus inflicting damage (e.g. 4209-Bloody ridge).

-> The ammo HUD of Sd.Kfz 251/1 Wurfrahmen 40 did not indicate the total number of 300mm HE rocket round (only 1 instead of 6) per load. (e.g. 4106-Battle of Brody):

M1 Bazooka does not have any smoke effects when shot but the Panzerschreck does have smoke effects when shot.

The new model for the Panzerschreck is too big so you can see through the weapon.\

The shield on the Panzerschreck obstructs too much of the screen.

Vehicles:

Flammpanzer 38(t) has no engine sounds and track sounds and also has no 1P cockpit view. (e.g. 4701 Antarctica)

The shield on the Panzerschreck obstructs too much of the screen.
To be honest, I like the current setup of Panzerschreck and how it represent on screen. (Thanks Sarge31FR for returning the blast shield.  ;) )

Just switch your handweapon to pistol when you want to move or to hunt your victim, get some cover when you discovered one, then switch to Panzerschreck and aim properly especially where the tank's weak spot, shoot and BOOM!

Of course, don't forget to use shoot-and-scoot tactics, or else...

Regarding 4104-Adria Annexion, the Italian base shouldn't be capturable, but an uncapturable with 0 value. Maybe Sarge can verify this proposal?

I found some Mistake from the Map 4309 Azov-Clashes  in the first the Plane on Axis site is not correct Place in the Water.

The next is the Ship on the Axis Side has not the correct Flag and the ship have Water-bombs on board.

Yes, it shows the current naval ensign of Italian navy instead of naval ensign of Regia Marina.

Also, I noticed the railings of Ehrenfels-class freighter and it's armed equivalent (Hilfskreuzer) were offset both port and starboard from fore extending to promenade and aft deck.

I think i'ts about time to update the mod's ModDB page as it still advertised the RC2 and not the RC3+1st patch.

Also, are there any plans to update Capture-the-flag and Team deathmatch mode especially the vanilla maps? It still had a very few vehicles mixed with vanilla content, particularly with this one for example:

Bin nach dem Minenlegen das zweite mal mit paar sekunden unterschied nach dem ablegen der Minen komplett auf der Map PRIMAVERA auf der ACHSENSEITE aus dem Spiel auf den Desktop geflogen.
Ohne dass ein Fehler mir angezeigt wird oder eine Spur. Das sieht dann so aus, als ob ich das Spiel nicht gestartet hätte und somit nicht im Spiel war.

Ist es normal das die Granaten gegen gepanzerte bewaffnete Trucks nichts ausrichten? Selbst wenn die gepanzerten Trucks brennen, bringen die Granaten nichts.

regarding the Midway pic.thats the B26 your referring to.I noticed that too but for the life of me I don't know what possible use it was to have a section of the fuselage missing?.As I was not the creator of the mesh I didn't submit the corrected version with glass panels.I still have it.in fact one of the things that I devote some of my time is finding and trying to fix bits wrong on standardmeshes in BG42.The IL4 was only one example ;)

Usually two .50 cal guns would go there, but the opening is so small, that i can't make it work. And since i'm not an experienced 3D artist, i couldn't close it either. The real B-26 had a rather complicated gun mounting there, but our model is completely wrong regarding this.

Hi guys. Haven't been here for a long time, and haven't played BF42 or even BG42 for at least 2 years. It's nice to see there's still progress being made. I will try out RC3 for sure. But as the discussion suggests, this has been out for quite some time. Is this version of the mod going to be finalized some day?

Pretty low fps, that is, game runs slow on 4404-galicia_campaign, 4005-hannut_steel and 4005-battle_of_arras which I've noticed recently playing.

This is my configuration:

CPU: AMD Athlon X4 640
VGA: Asus Geforce 750 TI 2GB
RAM: Kingston 8GB 1600 MHz
OS: Windows 7 SP 1

Any suggestion or help to solve this?

There are known lag issues at some places on Galicia and Hannut, but no idea to solve that or at least what reason they have. On Arras I never encountered fps drops.

Regarding your rig, I would recommend to increase RAM or change the graphic card to a GTX 980 or higher.

I checked the map out. Very beautiful indeed, very beautiful and I like it! Of course few things should be adjusted like Yugoslav partisans kits, flags and similar things, some trees to be added and bots to move. But the very map is excellent, no single doubt about that!

But more trees - no chance! There is already a vast amount of them on the map, and the engine is on its limit to handle them. We still work on the bot problem - there are some difficulties in pathfinding, but I guess we can manage that.
